Comal County commissioners are scheduled to consider the flood-monitoring purchase on Thursday, August 6.
The agenda asks for nine pan-tilt-zoom cameras, six flood-monitoring nodes at county-maintained dams, and three nodes along Cibolo Creek, charged to capital-equipment account 010.032.5619. It says no budget amendment is necessary.

The $117,266.06 dam quote includes six AWARE cellular camera nodes, six high-accuracy rain gauges, pole work, installation, project management, a payment bond and contingency items. It calls for 50% upfront and says the county must provide traffic control and a bucket truck.
