Fair Oaks Ranch reports that Dietz Elkhorn water-line construction started in September and expects the Plant 5 storage tank project to be completed Sept. 18.
The packet lists $21,013 for a typical 3/4-inch water meter and $9,943 for one wastewater living-unit equivalent; the committee is scheduled to consider recommendations for its semiannual report to City Council.
The same packet documents $5,064,992 in water and wastewater impact fees collected and $9,091,732 in eligible costs already incurred. The $4,026,740 difference represents documented spending above collections, not a newly proposed charge.
Where the accounts stand
The water account shows $3,287,996 collected and $6,245,168 in documented eligible costs. Wastewater collections total $1,776,996, compared with $2,846,564 in eligible costs. The packet says eligible costs are applied to collections using the first-in, first-out method for the statutory expenditure period.
Storage, pipelines and sewer work
The largest project in the update is a proposed 500,000-gallon elevated storage tank with an estimated cost of $11.71 million. The city says land acquisition, annexation and zoning are complete, with the redesign expected to reach 100% in October. The packet describes the tank as a response to peak demand, fire protection and reserve-storage needs.
