Five annexation and zoning matters
Items 16 and 18 concern 10.7 acres in Comal County near FM 482 and Schwab Road: one ordinance proposes annexation and another proposes Public Use District zoning. The city’s presentation associates the tract with the Dry Comal Creek project.
Items 17 and 19 concern 0.19 acre at 12235 Aztec Way in Bexar County, again pairing proposed annexation with proposed Public Use zoning. Item 20 proposes rezoning about five acres near FM 2252 and Interstate 35 from General Business to General Business District-2.

EMS agreements, police grant and other action
Items 3 through 7 propose appointing a reserve peace officer, amending EMS agreements involving Guadalupe County and other governmental partners, setting mutual-aid terms with San Marcos and authorizing an AACOG task order for Schertz EMS support at JBSA-Randolph.
Items 8 and 9 propose a water-service extension for the Old Wiederstein Commercial project and debt-revenue adjustments for certain inactive accounts. Items 10 and 11 ask council to accept a fiscal 2027 Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority grant and select candidates for four Texas Municipal League risk-pool trustee seats.

Three workshops and the remaining agenda
Items 21 through 23 are workshops on unpaved parking and storage surfaces, third-quarter finances, and future water demand and supply. The unaudited June General Fund summary reports $68.64 million in year-to-date revenue, $40.23 million in expenditures and $3.82 million encumbered.

Item 24 gives notice of a closed session concerning economic-development deliberations involving Las P Schertz Operations and Project Holly. Item 25 lists possible open-session action afterward on incentives for either prospect.
Meeting logistics and what comes next
The Schertz City Council meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, in Council Chambers at 1400 Schertz Parkway, Building 4. Residents may register to speak for up to three minutes; the deadline for delivering handouts or USB material to the city secretary was noon Monday.
